Music Teacher – 2018-2019 School Year

 

REPORTS TO: Academy Director or his/her designee.

 

JOB FUNCTION: To work with students in the elementary school and middle school choir.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Shall hold a Bachelor degree or better, with a K-12 Music Education (JX) from an accredited University or College.
  2. Shall hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate from an accredited University or College
  3. Shall hold the required State of Michigan endorsement for the teaching position held.
  4. Preferred Elementary (K-8) teaching certificate.

 

MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Ability to function effectively with general education teachers.
  2. Ability to organize and administer lesson plans.
  3. Knowledge of the growth and maturation patterns of elementary and/or secondary students.
  4. Ability to speak and write effectively.
  5. Subject to a Criminal Records Check as required by Board Policy.

Salary:

$36,000 (1st year teacher salary)
