Music Teacher – 2018-2019 School Year

 

REPORTS TO: Academy Director or his/her designee.

 

JOB FUNCTION: To work with students in the elementary school and middle school choir.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Shall hold a Bachelor degree or better, with a K-12 Music Education (JX) from an accredited University or College.
  • Shall hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate from an accredited University or College.
  • Shall hold the required State of Michigan endorsement for the teaching position held.
  • Preferred Elementary (K-8) teaching certificate.

 

MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Ability to function effectively with general education teachers.
  • Ability to organize and administer lesson plans.
  • Knowledge of the growth and maturation patterns of elementary and/or secondary students.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively.
  • Subject to a Criminal Records Check as required by Board Policy.

Part-Time – Computer/Network Support Technician – Immediate Opening

 

REPORTS TO: Technology Manager

 

JOB FUNCTION: To assist Technology Manager with school’s technology resources including: computers, laptops, iPads, other mobile devices, printers, telecommunications systems, audio/visual equipment, networks, and others as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in information systems or related field or three years related experience required
  • Industry certification preferred (A+, Net+, MCSA, MCSE, etc.)

 

MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to function effectively with all staff
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Knowledge of current technology with computers and other technology
  • Ability to quickly understand and apply new technologies
  • Enthusiasm for working in a Y5-8 learning environment
  • Subject to Criminal Records Check as required by Board policy

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • An understanding of networking protocols
  • An understanding of wireless networking
  • Computer maintenance and repair
  • Audio / Visual equipment maintenance and repair (projectors, sound systems, DVD players, interactive white boards, document cameras, etc.)
  • Software deployment, installation, updating and troubleshooting
  • Imaging of computer systems
  • User account management
  • Active directory and group policy management

Part-Time – Maintenance Custodian – Immediate Opening

 

REPORTS TO: Facilities Director

 

JOB FUNCTION: To keep the buildings in a clean and well-maintained condition, and to assist the Facilities Director and maintenance staff in providing students with a safe, secure and clean school.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent training or GED
  • Proficiency in cleaning and in basic repairs
  • Minimum two years’ experience or on-the-job training

 

MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vacuum and clean assigned classrooms daily and dust all furniture
  • Mop and disinfect bathrooms and sanitary fixtures
  • Empty all trash cans daily, clean lobbies, lounges, offices and gym
  • Move furniture and equipment as required for various activities
  • Subject to a Criminal Records Check as required by Board Policy

JOB FUNCTION:   To teach Ancient Civilizations to seventh grade students and U.S. History to eighth grade students

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Shall hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate from an accredited University or College
  • Shall hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education or better from an accredited University or College
  • Shall hold the required State of Michigan endorsement for the teaching position held
