Extracurriculars

Extracurricular activities give your child the opportunity to try new things in a safe and caring environment. These opportunities can allow children to make new friends, become physically active and learn new skills. Following are just a few of the extracurricular activities available at Holly Academy each year.

Chess Club

Learn good sportsmanship, planning, reasoning, and more with a chess club for beginners to experienced players. We have three seasons that are eight weeks long for 2nd to 8th grade throughout the school year. The chess club typically meets on Tuesdays after school from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm.

Chess Club is taught by the Mandell Chess Club. Contact instructor Doug Fick II at (810) 845-7372, and for questions about the course, contact Dr. Ed Mandell at (248) 635-2375

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouting is fun for the whole family. In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

Dens are available for boys in 1st through 5th Grade.
